The Black Label S302 comes equipped with a 2.8L twin-screw supercharger, bringing the 5.0L motor up to 730 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque on 91-octane gas. After Saleen announced they were shipping White and Yellow Label versions of their 2015 S302 earlier this year, they have been receiving a high level of inquiries and orders. But these orders have not just been for base model cars. Most of the orders have been for fully loaded cars and many of them have had custom paint. Saleen hasn't been the only ones to notice this trend either. According to Edmunds, the average price of each Ford Mustang sold is up 10% from the previous year and overall sales are up 62% during the same period.
To launch the 2015 S302 Black Label, Saleen had a special unveil event in Downtown LA on March 20th, 2015. The event drew crowds from all over the world with attendees ranging from the public to media and even VIPs and celebrities.
As with all Saleen vehicles, the 2015 S302 Black Label will be a limited production and each vehicle will receive a unique Saleen serialization and bumper number to signify the exclusivity. With prices starting in the low $70,000s, it is no wonder the order bank has been filling up fast for this one-of-a-kind vehicle.
