Ford Readies North America’s Freshest Lineup by 2020

DEARBORN, Mich., March 15, 2018 – Ford is revamping its lineup, building on truck, SUV and commercial strengths, investing in new propulsion and delivering standard connectivity on new vehicles, paving the way for over-the-air updates and the Transportation Mobility Cloud, an open platform that will empower tomorrow’s mobility systems. By 2020, Ford will offer North America’s freshest lineup among all full-line automakers, with its average showroom age dropping from 5.7 to 3.3 years as it replaces three-quarters of its lineup and adds four new trucks and SUVs. VW Electric Race Car for 2018 Pikes Peak

Over the course of its existence, the "Pikes Peak International Hill Climb" has seen the start of almost anything on wheels – from motorbikes to trucks. In addition, new classes have been created on a regular basis. The following is an overview of the event's development from 1916 to the present. In the beginning, the rules were amazingly simple. Anyone could take part in the race, as long as they showed up at the starting line between August 10 and August 12, 1916. It was a pragmatic approach, since in those days there was only a limited number of automobiles and motorbikes. In 2018, there are six different classes each for cars and motorbikes. Volkswagen's fully electric prototype starts in the "unlimited" class. As the name implies, this category gives engineers almost complete freedom with respect to technology. The evolution of the Pikes Peak rule book between 1916 and 2018 is reflected by the development of racing in general. After t...

Mercedes-Benz Design Essentials II - Highlights

The aesthetic of modern luxury is characterised by timeless beauty, a combination of high-grade technology and craftsmanship as well as a reduction to what is really important. The aim is to spark a desire for the brand. The atmosphere created by the design conveys a reduced, but not distant appearance that is modern and timeless. Black and silver are the dominant colours that create a stage for highlights, but also stage innovations to be complemented by a warm colour range. Natural materials, such as leather and wood give a feeling of being approachable and can be harmoniously combined with technical and innovative highlights. Modern graphic elements that quote the typical Mercedes style idioms or pick up on the brand make the brand identity stronger. Exterior design: sporty, dynamic, emotional Characteristic exterior design elements of Mercedes-Benz vehicles include the striking radiator grilles, dynamic side lines and sensually traversing surfaces that largely do away ...
