What is Drop-Dead Gorgeous? A Restored Lamborghini Miura SVR

If Miura is beautiful and the Miura SV is gorgeous...       Sant’Agata Bolognese/Nakayama (Japan), 21 June 2018 – Lamborghini Polo Storico has completed restoration of one of the most famous Miuras ever built: the Miura SVR. On the occasion of its delivery, the car was also exhibited at Japan’s Nakayama Circuit. As is well-documented, only 763 Lamborghini Miuras were produced, between 1966 and 1972, at the company’s plant in Sant’Agata Bolognese, Italy. The number of Miuras built outside of Sant’Agata, however, is much greater, as numerous model car manufacturers have created a scale version of what is one of the most iconic vehicles in automobile history. Among these was Japan’s Kyosho, which produced 1:18 scale models of both the Lamborghini Miura SV and Miura SVR. The Kyosho SVR, in particular, has achieved legendary status among collectors, since it depicts one of the most astonishing Lamborghinis ever built, the Miura SVR: a race car evolution of th...

2X Chiron + Next 911 Testing on NRing

Wondering why? You're not alone. One thing is for sure. This is not a simple high-speed testing. On one hand the "entry-level/stock" Chiron is electronically limited to 261 mph (420 kph), however Andy Wallace, the official test-driver of Bugatti, told that this top speed is only because of the current tires. And we all know this speed is not exactly something we would call user-friendly . Even 400 kph might be dangerous . But more than 280 mph (450 kph) is achievable with this car. Even 300 mph. On the second hand the Nurburgring is not the right track for chasing high-speed aspirations. Don't forget that just recently Bugatti has presented the Chiron Sport in Geneva . So this can only mean that a new Bugatti is in the pipeline. Might not even be a Chiron... And there is always the Winklemann -factor. Remember all those limited edition Lamborghinis? Something is telling us that the president of Bugatti is planning a surprise. We wouldn't go as far as Galibier...

Aventador S | The design draws inspiration from predators and aeronautics

As much as the Aventador is the car most entitled to represent the Lamborghini brand values, the Aventador S is the expression of the Lamborghini flagship par excellence, embodying the utmost synergy between design and engineering in pure Lamborghini style. The “S” has existed for 50 years The first Lamborghini S model was launched 50 years ago to represent the evolution of already revered icons. In fact, the further development of the Miura into a more improved version dates back to 1968, followed by Islero, Countach and Urraco. When the Aventador reaped this legacy and decided to surpass itself, the Aventador S was born. The design draws inspiration from predators and aeronautics The Aventador S presents pure refinement of the iconic design that remains true to the Lamborghini DNA, enhancing its mix of dynamism, refinement and aggressiveness. 1985 Audi Sport Quattro: The Group B Homologation Special

In Austria in 1980, just a year after four-wheel drive cars became eligible to compete in the WRC, Audi debuted the first Quattro rally car and forever changed the sport. Over the next half of the decade (and onwards, if you count the Pikes Peak specials), these Audis would be subjected to a period of rapid iterative evolution that led to the short-wheelbase Sport Quattro models that helped define the infamously fast and dangerous era of Group B rallying. The relatively lax nature of the Group B regulations gave rise to a number of downright ferocious cars from Audi’s competitors (most notable being Lancia and Peugeot), and while it was not the most successful nor technologically advanced of these top tier cars by the end of the Group B era, the Sport Quattro is a worthy poster child for the lot of them—being first to the punch has its advantages. The advent of the Group B class provided manufacturers with practically every leeway imaginable given they adhered to a basic s...
