The A9 is

Actually a coupe.
It's been on the net for awhile that Audi is readying its four-door coupe a la CLS and Panamera. But my sources kept telling me, they don't have any knowledge about the A9 being a large Aston Martin Rapide-like thing. However as a matter of fact, they do know about a large two-door coupe being in the pipeline. It won't compete with the CLS, but it will be in the league of the CL and next big Jag-coupe. It will be on the A8 platform using A8 engines, both V6 and V8, and might be on the roads by the end of 2013.
