An excellent vlog. Just one omission. It was subsequently learned that when Lando hit the back of Oscars car at the Canadian GP, Oscars car had slowed suddenly. Not by a lot but by enough to result in Lando crashing into Oscar's car as Lando pulled left to attempt a pass. Why did Oscar's car slow? He had depleted the battery staving off Lando down the previous straight where Lando had the DRS to help him get alongside before he had to brake entering the chicane. It ran out or energy just as Lando was about to attempt the pass. Andrea Stella reported this information the day following the GP but very few in the media picked up on it. All credit to Lando for accepting the blame but I have to believe that Oscar felt his car slow when the battery died. The electric motor adds around 150 bhp to the ICE engine. He must have known, and presumably thought he'd got away with it when Lando took the blame. It was his fault as he'd hit Oscar's car, but he wasn't stupid. He ...
EDO ZXX – A MASTERPIECE
Even before the engine work is finalized, edo competition and the owner of the vehicle are publishing a number of detailed pictures of the almost complete Ferrari edo ZXX. For those who don’t remember, this car had previously been modified by edo competition, and unfortunately ended up in the Atlantic Ocean during the 2011 Targa Newfoundland.
Immediately after the mishap the Enzo was flown to edo competition in Germany to begin with the necessary work right away. Removing the sea water as well as all damaged parts was the first step of the rebuild. At that time the decision was made to make special aerodynamic modifications to the vehicle, and to increase the engine output to 950 horsepower! The styling of the car borrows from the FXX, but incorporates many additional features. The new custom-made interior as well as the newly developed edo ZXX design wheels complete the unique, breathtaking appearance of the ZXX. Now, a little less than a year later, it’s almost done.
In all likelihood the edo ZXX will be reunited with its owner in Canada by the end of the year, complete with a 950 horsepower engine.
