usually i dont comment on things, but this time i share some thoughts.
    1. this is a totally respectfully done corvette design, that has everything - including the mako shark, mantaray, c2 split, aerovette, cerv and indy... just done in a tasteful fashion that allows to reshape the entire brand in terms of design adapting to the future. i am not going into details.

    2. the aero done here is a masterfully executed corvette tour de force that implements elements from racing and aeromotive. the downforce it may generate just by looks eliminates the necessity of any rear spoiler whatsoever. this brings us to the next point.

    3. this is hypercar territory and as such it is clear corvette is not playing catching up. as a designer i do think the car is watered down a bit enabling people to have a taste of the things to come. the c8 was neither a beauty nor ugly, it was the messenger of the mid engine reality in a digestible design package done in a way to appeal to many people and generate some profit. now this will go a bit further. the c9 has to fulfil the promise. if Zora was alive maybe he would like the corvette in the hypercar league as well. which leads us to the next important point.

    4. as a concept car it has a message. a very carefully written message. hypercar. this means corvette will be a family not just one layer (supercar) this means there will be multiple corvettes coming

    5. multiple corvettes mean the brand will be versatile. maybe some corvettes stay in their well defined categories (GT, supercar, etc) while others just do what Zora wanted. beat the world. Like i said the design has a clear message. The timing of the reveal was no accident either. Simcoe knows exactly what he is doing. and everything goes to its place perfectly. Remember GM goes into F1 next year. And the US economy has every reason to thrive again. So... everything makes sense.
At least two more concepts are coming...

    Exciting times.
