Citroën DS24 Concept: new design images

New design sketches and information on the Citroën DS24 Concept, the study of a futuristic four door sedan created by French students from the ISD (Insitut Superieur de Design).

The Citroën DS24 Concept is a modern reinterpretation of the DS created by Ugo Spagnolo, Aurelien Petit, Benoit Louzaouen and Guillaume Vasseur.
Among the design elements inspired by the original DS is the floating roof with its descending profile.
The design also adopts some of the styling cues of the brand’s current design language, resembling concept cars such as the Citroën C-Metisse and the GT Concept.
At the front, the elaborated style reflects on the original layout of the nose and badge area and on on the lighting units which – both at the front and at the rear – look line they are emerging from the openings on the fenders.

The rear end is characterized by a central section developed with an aeronautical-like treatment.
The interior is inspired by the concept “Elasticity of the Air and the flexibility of the water”.

The lightness impression is enhanced by the design of the individual components that appear independent, floating units.
The underlying technology makes use of a fuel cell powertrain, with two electric motors – one at the front and one at the rear and hydrogen tanks located at the center of the passengers compartment, where they become distinctive hi-tech elements.
