The new Pagani Huayra is one of the most eagerly awaited supercars with the promise of 720bhp from its mid-mounted 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine - enough power to blast it to an estimated 235mph top speed.

The thesis project of the IED Turin three-year course in Transportation Design - Car Design, consisted in the participation in the Ferrari World Design Contest, launched by the marque of the Prancing Horse in cooperation with the Autodesk technical partner. Entrants included more than fifty design schools and universities from all over the world who forwarded more than 200 projects to the Maranello Design Centre.

The designer of the Lamborghini Murcielago will make the jump from the SEAT brand to becoming VW Group’s Head of Advanced Design starting August 1st of this year. 

The path from concept car to possible production car can take many forms, and it certainly did with the 1987 Oldsmobile Aerotech concept car.

Designed in the early 1960s, the model was built independently by Italdesign in 2008

Nuova Stratos Torino, 14 luglio 2011 – A seguito delle notizie diffuse da alcuni blog specializzati, Pininfarina precisa di non avere alcuna parte nella presunta produzione di una serie limitata della Nuova Stratos. Il ruolo di Pininfarina si è limitato alla progettazione e alla costruzione di un esemplare unico per il cliente Michael Stoschek senza alcun impegno ad allargare la collaborazione a volumi produttivi più consistenti. Pininfarina è molto soddisfatta del lavoro svolto sulla Nuova Stratos, che ha suscitato un enorme e meritato apprezzamento da parte della stampa internazionale, ed è lieta di aver contribuito a realizzare il sogno di Mr. Stoschek. L’Azienda è tuttavia estranea a quanto comunicato da Mr. Stoschek attraverso il sito della Nuova Stratos.
