Monterey Car Week serves as North American debut for Polestar 1

The Polestar 1 World Tour continues with the brand’s debut in North America in Monterey, California, from 23-26 August. During Monterey Car Week, the Polestar 1 will be on display throughout the Monterey Bay area, including at the famous Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. “It’s great to bring Polestar to America,” says Thomas Ingenlath, Chief Executive Officer at Polestar. “North America is a major market for our new brand and we have received great feedback and high interest in the Polestar 1 from our American customers. So far, nearly 200 customers have placed deposits in the United States alone – the largest number of any country. New 2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition Honors Most Famous Paint Scheme in Motorsports

DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 24, 2018 – The new 2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition honors the legendary American Gulf Oil-sponsored Ford GT40 by featuring the most famous paint scheme in motorsports – plus a set of additional exclusive touches. “Many view the Gulf Oil paint scheme as the most famous in motorsports,” said Joe Hinrichs, Ford president, global operations. “The 1968 GT40 quickly became a global sensation after beating its European competitors on the track four times in a row, and in honor of the 50th anniversary of its win, we’re paying fresh tribute to the original with a new heritage limited edition.” Known among racing enthusiasts as chassis No. 1075, the 1968 GT was one of just a few individual cars to achieve repeat victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
