Radiance Concept

Beijing Radiance concept unveiled on the 2020 Beijing Auto Show.

'Beijing' is a new brand under BAIC. It is the successor of the Senova brand. It should not be confused with the old BAW Beijing brand, which has been renamed 'Beijing Off Road'.  The new Beijing currently sells various previously-Senova's and a bunch of EV's formerly sold under the BJ New Energy name. But that is just a messy beginning. Next, they are going to develop lots of new cars!  The Radiance concept previews one of those cars, a large electric sedan-coupe set to compete against the Tesla Model S. It is a beautiful car with a futuristic streamlined design with a faint hint of Citroen at the rear. It lies low on the road with an enormous grille-like artwork at the front, giant wheels, and LED lights that are totally integrated into the bonnet.  The interior is very nice too, I really like the novel seat design mixing fabric with leather and alien-like headrests. The steering wheel has an integrated screen, something we also saw on Byton, and Byton
