The Art and the Science of the Standard Of The World

Where does the ArtScience design language take Cadillac to? Let's have an in-depth view upon the design communication milestones of the style of the Standard of the world.

"What is good for Cadillac is good for GM"
H.Earl

The design of Cadillac's model range has always been a leader for the rest of the divisions. The premier of the two-door Evoq with a very unusual visual design-language of the body, generated fierce debate among professionals, because the design concept was to brake away from the traditional style of Cadillac, to which the brand's clients were so accustomed to. This styling was adopted by every concept model, including the Cien. The new theme was plainly aimed to conquest new sectors of the global market.
The design was done by the European branch of the GM in Birmingham and its chief designer Simon Cox, known for his radical proposals for the conceptual SUVs of Isuzu. GM's Marketing Service awarded a new techno-trend in the design, with the slogan Art and Science, and it seems that the company intends to actively use this style in the future.
