FIRST DRIVE: Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale – As Good As It Looks?

Andonis Says | Paris(Dakar)-bound Lamborghini Concept

'Once perfection is achieved, you can only double it'

Andoniscars has been receiving some letters concerning the new Lamborghini models identity. As you all have seen here Lamborghini is teasing a new concept vehicle. It is clear it is not an Aventador or a Huracan. But what is it?

This is just a speculation at this moment, but maybe not without a sense. We all know that Lamborghini needs to expand its lineup from the current two model-range to at least three or four since a year ago they trademarked two names for undisclosed future models. One was the Huracan. The second was never used. Yet.
When the Urus concept came out, the Deimos name was in the air. Nothing happened. Yet.
However this is not the only reason why the expansion will be carried out.

VAG or Auto Union as it will be named in the future does everything (more or less) with a reason. We all remember the Estoque concept (2+2 four-door coupe FWD layout). Good. Think of it as a promise that sometimes in the future Lamborghini will unveil a four-door model.
This might be it. But I don't think it is the case.

Not too long ago Giugiaro (also part of the big VW-pizza) came out with not one, but two hotshot concepts, the Parcour and the Parcour Roadster. Both powered by Lamborghini Gallardo hearts looking dangerously pre-production-ready.

But nothing happened. At least nothing official.

Word was that Porsche will build a SUV-like 911, which will resemble a well-known 911 shape and a Dakar-ready crossover.
Again, nothing happened. At least not at Porsche.

In exchange Audi (the owner of Lamborghini) shocked the world with a high-riding pseudo R8-like supercar, the Nanuk. This also seemed to be production-ready.

It is now undeniable, that is something going on at the Group in terms of a supercar crossover niche.

Maybe the Group was focusing on a Lamborghini supercar from day one on a well-known platform. Since the Huracan and the R8 are sister models, and the Nanuk looks essentially next gen R8...
